My Process and Client FAQs
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK CALLIGRAPHY FOR MY WEDDING?
As with most wedding vendors, the earlier you book the better! For envelope orders I recommend booking calligraphy at the same time that you are ordering your invitations. This prevents any delay in getting your invitations in the mail. 20% additional envelopes are required, so please coordinate with your stationer. For day-of pieces I recommend booking no less than 3 months in advance to ensure availability and to allow for plenty of time to plan and get your project timeline set up. I will book up to one year in advance.
WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?
Standard turnaround time is 2 weeks but may vary, especially during busy season or for large or very detailed orders. I provide more specific timeline estimates upon booking. Rush orders (requests within 2 weeks) may not always be accommodated and may incur an additional fee.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY PRICE QUOTE? HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT TO SPEND?
Pricing for custom work includes a digital proof, two rounds of revisions, and your hand calligraphy design. Each item has a base package, and we will discuss additional embellishments and their cost during the design process. Pricing listed and quoted reflects calligraphy only unless it is explicitly stated that the cost of your item/piece is included. On average, ACC couples spend approximately $400-$500 on envelope addressing, $600 on day-of signage, and $900 on day-of signage with rentals. Remember that you're working one-on-one with a person who is lovingly making you something special by hand, and that is reflected in my pricing ♡
WHAT IS THE RENTAL PROCESS? CAN I RENT YOUR PIECES ON THEIR OWN?
Rental items are only available for calligraphy clients. A quote will be provided for the rental item + the lettering for your specific design request. Rental items are loaned to clients for one week.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? DO YOU DELIVER?
I am based in Marlton, NJ. Standard pickup/drop off at my home studio is included with every price quote. Delivery to the client or venue as well as pickup after the event may be available for an additional fee. Please mention in your inquiry if you'd need delivery one or both ways, so that I can provide the most accurate estimate.
CAN I PROVIDE MY OWN PIECES? OR CAN YOU FIND THEM FOR ME?
Yes to both! If you would like to pick out or provide your own items for me to write on you are welcome to do so. If applicable, I will give you information on how to remove the lettering after your event so you can reuse your pieces for years to come. If you would like me to source and purchase your items for you, the cost of the items plus an additional fee will be added to your invoice.
DO YOU DESIGN INVITATIONS?
You may see lots of beautiful invitation suites in my portfolio but I am solely a calligrapher and do not design or print invitations. I work with my stationery partner Amy of Dragonfly Paperie to incorporate my calligraphy into her designs.
