I'm Alli and I love writing...and always have.
From a young age I loved pens, lettering, and office supplies. It may have started with my elementary school collection of gel pens or my extreme excitement as I checked off each item from my school supply list each August. I always received compliments on my handwriting, and my doodles on my school notes were words in fun lettering. I finally took a pointed pen calligraphy class to fine tune my skills and haven't looked back since, starting AlliCat Calligraphy in September 2015. Why "AlliCat?" Since my first name is Alli and my middle name is Catherine, so I chose combination of both that would be a unique and fun play on words!
I believe #LoveisLove - clients and couples of all genders, colors, religions, and orientations are welcome. ♥ Details are incredibly important to me - I strive to give each client a personalized experience and pieces that are as unique and beautiful as they are!
A little about me.
I am a South Jersey native and have just recently returned home after almost 5 years in the DC Metro Area and 4 years in the Shenandoah Valley for college (I'm the most proud JMU alum you'll meet - Go Dukes!). I am based in Marlton, NJ and serve clients in the entire Philadelphia region. My wonderful husband works with me behind the scenes - he's often helping me move large pieces, cut and stain wood, and is my #1 cheerleader! And our 4 year old Malshi, Reese, helps out where she can - mostly as the comic relief!
I feel so lucky to have a small part in the lives of others by creating beautiful, customized items - both for the biggest moments and the every day. Let's work together to create something perfect for you!
I am the proud calligraphy partner for Dragonfly Paperie, a custom design studio based in the Philadelphia area. Designer Amy works with her clients one on one to create beautiful designs that reflect the love stories of her couples. I provide spot calligraphy, envelope addressing, and discounts on day-of pieces for Dragonfly clients, so they have a cohesive way to tie calligraphy into their special day.
