I'm Alli and I love writing...
and always have.
From a young age I loved pens, lettering, and office supplies. It may have started with my elementary school collection of gel pens or my extreme excitement as I checked off items from my school supply list every August. I think a love for paper is in my blood - my grandfather was a printer, my mom and dad met working in the office of a printing company, and when we were little my brother and I set up a "card store" in our basement and sold handmade greeting cards to anyone who came to visit. I always received compliments on my handwriting, and my doodles on my school notes were words in fun lettering.
I finally took a pointed pen calligraphy class to fine tune my skills and haven't looked back since, starting AlliCat Calligraphy in September 2015. Why "AlliCat?" My first name is Alli and my middle name is Catherine, so I chose a combination of both that would be a unique and fun play on words! My business is primarily focused in weddings and events, but I also do a small number of commissions, on-site events, and holiday items each year.
I believe #LoveisLove - clients and couples of all genders, colors, and religions are welcome. ♥ Details are incredibly important to me - All couples receive personal, individualized service so that every piece fits your vision and remains a treasured heirloom for years to come.

I am a South Jersey native and returned home in 2018 after almost 5 years in the DC Metro Area and 4 years in the Shenandoah Valley for college (I'm the most proud JMU alum you'll meet - Go Dukes!). I am based in Marlton, NJ and serve clients throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. My wonderful husband works with me behind the scenes - he's often helping me move large pieces, brainstorm ideas, and is my #1 cheerleader. And our Malshi, Reese, is in charge of quality control and comic relief!
I love Philadelphia sports, pineapples, Starbucks strawberry acai refreshers, baking competition shows, and sudoku puzzles. I will always ask to pet your dog, want to know if there are any snacks, and be down for a dance party.

I am the proud calligraphy partner for Amy Elizabeth Artistry, a custom art & design studio based in the Philadelphia area. Amy creates beautiful invitation suites that reflect the love stories of her couples. I provide spot calligraphy, envelope addressing, and day-of pieces for Amy's clients, so they have a cohesive way to tie calligraphy into their special day.
