From a young age I loved pens, lettering, and office supplies. It may have started with my elementary school collection of gel pens or my extreme excitement as I checked off items from my school supply list every August. I think a love for paper is in my blood - my grandfather was a printer, my mom and dad met working in the office of a printing company, and when we were little my brother and I set up a "card store" in our basement. I always received compliments on my handwriting, and my doodles on my school notes were words in fun lettering.
I finally took a pointed pen calligraphy class to fine tune my skills and haven't looked back since, starting AlliCat Calligraphy in September 2015. Why "AlliCat?" Since my middle name is Catherine, I chose a unique and fun play on words for my business name!

Client experience and thoughtful, intentional details are my priority. I try to take my client's vision and find ways we can personalize it so their calligraphy pieces really feel unique to them. Want to incorporate your favorite saying on your welcome sign? Let's do it. Want to add special nods to your venue, your interests, or your family? I'll find a creative way to tie it all together, and will guide you with ideas and recommendations along the way.

I am a South Jersey native and returned home in 2018 after almost 5 years in the DC Metro Area and 4 years in the Shenandoah Valley for college. I'm the most proud JMU alum you'll meet - Go Dukes! I am based in Mt. Laurel, NJ and serve clients throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. I am a one-woman show most of the time, but my Malshi, Reese, is in charge of quality control and comic relief ;)
I love Philadelphia sports, coloring books, Starbucks strawberry acai refreshers, baking competition shows, and the NYT daily puzzles
I will always ask to pet your dog, want to know if there are any snacks (but I'll usually have some on me!), and be down for a dance party.
